BOOK BACKGROUND

Why we developed our books

The idea for Print & Go Practices came from the recognition that something was missing for soccer coaches amongst all the training materials and resources available.

Most soccer coaching books or sources on the internet might have 100 drills but leave it to you to figure out how to put them into a smooth running, entertaining and effective practice. We've done that work for you and ensured the practices work by testing the drills and sessions with real teams.

What about the next practice? What about a season plan? What about the team’s needs and focus? Fitness training: yes or no? During practice or separate sessions? Scrimmages? Speed and mental training? Where are the drills for that? How about flexibility? Any difference between age groups?

You will find these questions answered comprehensively only in our books. The printed material is supplemented by pictures of stretches and moves and by the tips published on our web site.

Our Philosophy

Soccer practices need to be fun for players and coaches. Drills must be challenging and vary across skills, tactics, strategies, mental and physical fitness and team building. Our drills are intense mini competition, thus motivating to learn by playing. Nothing boring, no standing around.

Players need to be challenged with a ball at all times to maximize the number of touches they get with the ball.

Practices must flow and time must not be wasted by the coach setting up or thinking about drills.

Practices and drills must have a purpose.

All drills are designed to be conducted on ½ field, but most can be expanded to full field if space is available. This would be particularly true for full field scrimmages.

ENDORSEMENT

P.S.

I have run all of these practices with my teams and will vouch for their effectiveness
