Why our soccer practices are so effective:

PRACTICE SEQUENCE & DRILL DESIGN

Each practice plan follows the sequence of warm-up, ball handling, co-ordination, motivational skill and game. The practices have a theme that follows throughout the session. The sequencing of drills is one of the key proprietary components of our program. It has been researched, tested and proven to be extremely effective in optimum development of skill, physical development and social development.

The key to this book is that the kids (and coach, and parents) will have fun, fun, fun. The kids may leave your practice not even realizing that they were taught soccer skills, but rather feeling they played a bunch of games with a bunch of new friends.

Warm-Up

Our warm-ups are mini games or mini exercises. They are intended to get the body moving while engaging in social interaction with each other, quite often involving physical contact (such as hand-tags, etc.). In the adult world, they might be considered ice-breakers.

Ball Handling

It's exactly what it says. Players go through small group exercises with ball on foot. Straight dribbles, turns, short passes and other basic elements of ball control are the focus. Some decision making and quick thinking is built in to teach that there is more to the game than kicking a ball.

Co-Ordination

We believe that total co-ordination is lacking in many of today's youngsters because they are not as much engaged in physical exercises than in the past. We think it's essential and have built co-ordination exercises into our practices. Some are with a ball, some are just fun things without the ball. These games are actually suitable for any child in any sport.

Motivational Skill

Teaching skill to young kids is essential. If not at this age, then likely never. Coaches understand that and you will see a lot of basic skill practices. Most of them are very static if not boring and kids stand around a lot. Our approach is to teach essential skills in fun little games which kids want to play over and over again, even with friends outside of team practices.

Game

Playing a game is fun at all ages, that's what it's all about. Our games teach the basic building blocks of the full field soccer game. They are not scrimmages with full team because we don't want kids standing around. We keep them playing in smaller groups so that they all get many touches on the ball. However, the competitive element is present because scoring goals is part of the mini games.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Our soccer practice books have 70 pages.

Each book has 10 completely worked out practices, each on a single page to fit on your clipboard.

Each practice plan follows the sequence of warm-up, ball handling, Co-ordination exercise, motivational skill game and scrimmage game.

Practices are designed to be easy to demonstrate, maximize player touches on the ball and to be fun for these young future stars.

In addition to soccer skill and team tactics, they incorporate fitness, agility, communication, problem solving and mental fitness training.

Each of the drills for each of the practices is on its own page that fits on a clipboard and has room for notes.

This allows the coach to create different practice sessions from the 50 drill pages (55 drills) available.

So if you wanted to run a practice involving more ball handling, use drills with ball handling themes.

You can sequence the drills in any order you feel your kids need on a given day.

There is a summary page outlining the main focus of each of the drills.

You are getting 10 complete practice sessions and the ability to now mix and match 55 drills into many more practices.

Samples of practices and drills are on the site with each of the books for you to try before you buy.

There is no other soccer practice help like this available anywhere else.

P.S.

I have run all of these practices with my teams and will vouch for their effectiveness
